There’s no such thing as “incorrect speculation” – you might want to brush up on your vocabulary. Speculation, by its definition, is “the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence.” Entain has the capability to go in any direction and, if it were intent on keeping a 50/50 deal with MGM, it probably wouldn’t buy a US-facing sports data company. Instead, it would expect MGM to split the costs. It could make a smart investment move on its own but that, too, is just speculation.
