Station Casinos CEO Frank Fertitta spared no expense in throwing the most extravagant of weddings for his daughter Kelley. The $25 million shindig went down over the weekend at Fertitta’s Red Rock Resort.
Some 450 guests were in attendance, and several A-list celebrities took on the entertainment duties. John Mayer performed during the Friday evening rehearsal, and Bruno Mars and Seal headlined Saturday’s reception party.
Fertitta and his younger brother Lorenzo each control a 29 percent stake in Station Casinos. The two also made part of their fortune through the UFC, which they purchased in 2001 for $2 million and sold for an eye-gouging $4 billion in 2016.
The Fertittas are devout supporters of the Republican Party. They have each already donated $1 million to committees running President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.
Kelley and sister Victoria run a lifestyle blog called Wilson Gabrielle. The groom is Tyler Nemiro, who according to his LinkedIn, is a senior account executive at Shopify Plus.
Details Leak
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that vendors and employees working the wedding were required to sign non-disclosure agreements. But rumors still emerged.
The media source reports one observer saying of the Red Rock wedding venue, “More purple and white flowers than I have seen in my life.” Chef Scott Conant, who runs the casino resort’s Masso Osteria fine dining restaurant, hosted the rehearsal dinner, as well as a “hangover brunch” on Sunday.
Kelley and Tyler’s gift registry was also found online. What does one get a billionaire’s daughter? The couple’s Gearys Beverly Hills registry includes two vases, one for $18,000, and another at $13,500. Both went unfulfilled.
But someone did buy a “Sphinx Serving Spoon” for $984, an $822 “vegetable fork,” and $350 oil and vinegar set. Kelley and Tyler will also open up a $2,500 espresso machine from Bloomingdales, as well as a $1,175 vase and $300 candleholder.
Celebrity Weddings
A survey by wedding website The Knot found that the average wedding in America today runs roughly $35,000. That means Kelley Fertitta’s wedding was more than 71,000 times more expensive than Joe and Jane Schmos nuptials.
But Kelley’s wedding was a rarity even for celebrities. Esquire says the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West spectacle “only” cost $2.8 million. And George Clooney’s wedding ran $4.6 million.
However, compared to royal weddings, the Fertittas have nothing on the British throne.
Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s wedding in 1981 cost $70 million in today’s dollars. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding ran $34 million, while his younger brother Harry’s nuptials this year cost $43 million. The majority of royal wedding costs are due to security.
The costliest wedding of them all also came from royalty, but not in the UK. In 1981, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan married Princess Salama in a 20,000-seat stadium. CBS News says the seven-day wedding cost a whopping $100 million, and is the “priciest modern-day wedding to date.”

They do a considerable amount of charity and for the community, so if they want to spend that kind of money and they HAVE IT, THEN BY ALL MEANS!! Ive seen the Fertitta Empire grow built to what it is today!
Good luck to the Newly Weds. God is good for them and I we should be HAPPY. After all dad created multiple jobs for Las Vegas and Henderson citizens. Not you and me... Understand this and embrace it.
Wow. My wedding cost $200.00. Immediate family, lovely dinner & beautiful cake. Gotta love rich people
Her father earned the money so he should spend it the way he chooses. Lucky Kelly. I wish them the best.
God bless the working man. From the grandfather to the sons all started small and worked hard. THAT'S WHY AMERICA IS THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY. Go out and get it instead of sitting on the internet condemning those people who do!
Who cares, I hope they are paying their taxes and do a charity!
Screw the homeless. Let em pay for there own stuff
I am sick to my stomach. Why not put that money to some good use, like helping the homeless, seniors who have to choose between eating or buying their medication, children who go to school hungry..... seriously $25m??? One of your vases that you didn't get is what most of us seniors live off of yearly...…
Poor schlub hubs... never gonna be able to keep her as well as her daddy did.
